Koh Samui Boutique Airport has many flights arriving and departing daily, from Bangkok the flight time is around one hour and from Phuket about 35 minutes. The best way to check the flight times, duration, available dates and also book online is through the Bangkok Airways or Thai Airways Websites.

At the time of writing Bangkok Airways have far more flights arriving to and departing from Koh Samui Airport, they also have bargain priced tickets if you choose to book online and are able to go on the first and last couple of flights of the day, these offers are only available on the Bangkok Airways Website and please be aware that there are a few travel agents in Thailand who will take advantage of this fact by charging you the full rate and telling you that the only available seats are on the first or last flight.

The bottom line is this. If you are only in Thailand for a short time and want to visit Koh Samui for a few days then flying to the Island is ideal after all it only takes an hour or so to fly there from Bangkok compared to the other methods (Bus/Train & Ferry) which can and will take a full day or night (at least 12 hours).
